Firing Tables FT 8-I-1, Part 2B-2, issued by the Bureau of Ordnance in August 1941, provides the official firing data for the 8-inch gun, Mark VI, Modification 3A2. The tables cover three projectiles: the H.E. shell 240-pound M103, the A.P. shell 260-pound Mark XX, and the T.P. shell 260-pound Mark XVIII (with fuze P.D. M51 Modification 1 and fuze B.D. Mk X). This part spans pages 196–265 and concludes the firing corrections, ballistic data, and range table entries for the full elevation range of the gun. The 8″/55 cruiser gun armed heavy cruisers of the Pensacola, Northampton, Portland, and New Orleans classes.
