Ordnance Pamphlet 658 gives gunnery officers and operating personnel a working acquaintance with the Mark 8 Radar. Emphasis is placed on the actual operation of the control units with a view to obtaining the best possible results from the equipment. The pamphlet covers the principal units of the system, data presentation and interpretation, operating instructions, measurements of range and bearing, and performance characteristics including range data, interference, fading, side lobes, and multiple reflections.
