Published in the December 1942 issue of All Hands — exactly one year after the attack — this five-page feature presents the Navy’s official account of the events of December 7, 1941, at Pearl Harbor. Drawing on the findings of the Roberts Commission and subsequent naval investigations, the article recounts the course of the Japanese air assault, the damage inflicted on the Pacific Fleet, and the Navy’s accounting of what happened. The article spans pages 5 through 8 and concludes on page 56 of the issue.
