Two features from All Hands on submarine periscope photography. The first, from June 1942, was published under the campaign slogan “Keep ‘Em Sinking” as the submarine war against Japan was accelerating in the Pacific. The second, from November 1945, shows actual periscope photographs taken during wartime submarine operations, published in the months following Japan’s surrender as the Navy began releasing wartime imagery previously withheld for security reasons.
