March 22, 2026 was thirteen years since the passing of my good friend, Gene Slover. This site is maintained in his honor and memory — and in honor of all the active duty and retired men and women who served and sacrificed so we can live free. He would love seeing the new site design making it easier to view on any device.

Gene never used an apostrophe in the site name. If you asked him why, he'd say he couldn't find the apostrophe key. In tribute, I still don’t use one — but I have a feeling he would have liked the anchor addition.  Learn about Gene →
