OP 460 — Ford Rangekeeper Mark II
1917

This 1917 US Navy ordnance publication covers the Ford Rangekeeper Mark II, the secondary battery fire control computer used aboard US Navy warships. Known informally as the “Baby Ford,” the Mark II used a single integrator and handled the range-keeping function for secondary gun batteries. Four Mark II machines were installed aboard USS Texas (BB-35) by May 1918. This edition predates the 1922 revision; compare with the 1922 edition for later changes.
