17B2. Standard Conditions for Range Tables

In the computations upon which range tables are based, certain arbitrary conditions are assumed. These arbitrary conditions are generally spoken of as range-table standard conditions. In order to use the range table under conditions other than standard, it is necessary to provide in the range table corrections for variations from these conditions.

The Standards of a range table are the first 8 columns.

These first 8 columns are how the gun will shoot under standard conditions and these columns are used to design the computer ballistic cams for the gun.

It is necessary to know which projectile the range table you are using is calculated for.

At the top of each range table it tells the IV of the projectile, the weight of the projectile, the length of the projectile, and the Radius of Ogive of the projectile.
