Ordnance Pamphlet 945 contains the range table for the 20-mm antiaircraft gun — the Oerlikon automatic cannon that armed virtually every U.S. Navy ship of World War II. The table is computed for a muzzle (initial) velocity of 2,725 feet per second and lists the firing data — range, elevation, time of flight, drift, and the corrections for wind, motion, and air density — needed to lay the gun against aircraft and surface targets. The eighteen scanned pages below cover the explanatory notes and the full range-table sheets. Click any page to enlarge.
