Whether you are a golfer or not, this courageous story of Navy Medic Mike Reeder — known as Doc Mike — will touch you. Having survived a mortar explosion in Vietnam, he went on to become a single-digit handicap golfer and fulfill his dream of playing at the home of golf.
Mike lost both of his legs from the knee down in combat during Vietnam, but he didn’t let that hold him back. In 2010 he became the first golfer to play the Old Course at St. Andrews from a wheelchair. Along the way he fulfills a promise to his country, his friend, and himself.
How are you feeling about your handicap now?
